Biogeography: Continent: Africa. Region(s): Southern Africa (South Africa, Transvaal, only known from the type collection). Country or state(s): Transvaal (north-eastern South Africa).

Ecology: Biotroph; phytopathogenic; growing on leaves, epiphyllous. Host or Phorophyte Taxonomy: Entada spicata; Leguminosae-Papilionoideae.

Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Cleistothecioid, orbicular, forming independently from the host thallus or mycelium, gregarious, (.045)-.05-.075-(.08) mm in diam.. Margin: External filaments absent (sometimes; 2: very short, often tortuous, subuniform in width throughout, sometimes slightly attenuated upwards) or present; mycelioid, straight, (.24)-.5-1-(2.5) µm long, (2.5)-3-4.5-(5) µm in diameter, hyaline or pigmented (sometimes, pale brown near the base), few, 2-6 per mm², growing at the ascocarp base, smooth or rough (seldom), thin, not ramified or ramified (rarely), not branched or rarely irregular, aseptate.

Asci: (3)-4-5 asci per ascocarp, not stipitate or indistinctly stipitate, 45-55-(65) µm long, 30-40 µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate.

Ascospores: c. 4 or c. 8 per ascus, spores 5-8 per ascus, ellipsoid or ovoid, 15-18 µm long, 9-11.5 µm wide; septa absent; wall pale brown.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed.
