Ecology: Biotroph; phytopathogenic; growing on leaves, epiphyllous or sometimes amphigenous. Host or Phorophyte Taxonomy: Quercus sp.; Quercus, Fagaceae.

Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Cleistothecioid, orbicular (globose to subglobose), scattered or gregarious, (.075)-.08-.09-(.095) mm in diam.. Margin: External filaments absent or present (rudimentary, few or absent, shorter than the ascomatal diam.); mycelioid, straight, hyaline, few, smooth, not ramified, aseptate or septate.

Asci: 3-4-(5) asci per ascocarp, not stipitate or indistinctly stipitate, (40)-45-50-(55) µm long, 35-46 µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate (thin-walled).

Ascospores: c. 4 or c. 8 per ascus, spores 4-6 per ascus, ellipsoid, ovoid, or doliiform, (15)-18-20-(22) µm long, 8-12 µm wide; septa absent.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed.
