Ecology: Biotroph; phytopathogenic; growing on leaves, epiphyllous. Host or Phorophyte Taxonomy: Aceriphyllum rossii Engl.; Aceriphyllum, Saxifragaceae.

Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Cleistothecioid, orbicular, forming independently from the host thallus or mycelium, .1-.15 mm in diam.. Margin: External filaments present; pigmented (brown), numerous.

Asci: 5-7 asci per ascocarp, 60-70 µm long, 33-40 µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate.

Ascospores: c. 4 to c. 8 per ascus, spores 3-5 per ascus, ellipsoid, 23-26 µm long, 10-12 µm wide; septa absent.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed.

Conidiophores: Conidiophore cells (0)-0-0-0-(0) µm long.
