Ecology: Biotroph; phytopathogenic; growing on leaves, amphigenous. Host or Phorophyte Taxonomy: Convolvulus arvensis L.; Convolvulus, Convolvulaceae.

Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Cleistothecioid, orbicular, forming independently from the host thallus or mycelium, scattered or gregarious, .09-.155 mm in diam.. Margin: External filaments present; mycelioid, straight, .5-5 µm long, 4-10 µm in diameter, hyaline or somewhat pigmented (in the basal half), numerous, growing all across the lower half of the ascocarp, smooth or faintly rough, thin, not ramified (seldom) or ramified, sub-dichotomously branched (often; +1-3(-5) times irregularly branched), septate.

Asci: 3-10 asci per ascocarp, not stipitate or indistinctly stipitate, 45-75 µm long, 30-45 µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate.

Ascospores: 1–2, c. 4, or c. 8 per ascus, spores (2)-3-4-(6) per ascus, ellipsoid or ovoid, 18-28 µm long, 11-18 µm wide; septa absent.

Conidiomata: Present (anamorph well developed); hyphomycetous.

Conidiophores: Pseudoidium-type; not branched; basal cells 25-36-(42) µm long, 7-10 µm wide. Conidium Formation: Conidiogenous cells single. Conidia: Ellipsoid or cylindrical; macroconidial (germ tubes on an end, moderately long, simple, apex unlobed or slightly lobed), not branched, (25)-40-55-(65) µm long, 14-22 µm wide; aseptate.
