Ecology: Biotroph; phytopathogenic; growing on leaves, hypophyllous. Host or Phorophyte Taxonomy: Coriaria sinica Maxim.; Coriaria, Coriariaceae.

Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Cleistothecioid, orbicular, forming independently from the host thallus or mycelium, scattered, (.07)-.082-.09-(.1) mm in diam.. Margin: External filaments present (strikingly different in length on the same ascocarp, uniform or subuniform in width, but attenuated at the apex); straight, 1-4-(5) µm long, (5)-6-7.5-(9.5) µm in diameter, pigmented (brown, paler upwards), few or numerous, 5-15 per mm², flexuose (or undulate), smooth or verrucose (below), thin, not ramified, septate.

Asci: 3-5 asci per ascocarp, not stipitate or indistinctly stipitate, 48-66-(74) µm long, 33-46-(51) µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate.

Ascospores: c. 4 to c. 8 per ascus, spores 3-5 per ascus, ellipsoid or ovoid, 20-28 µm long, 13-18 µm wide; septa absent.

Conidiomata: Present; hyphomycetous.

Conidiophores: Pseudoidium-type. Conidium Formation: Conidiogenous cells single. Conidia: Sub-cylindrical; macroconidial, not branched, 30.5-44.5 µm long, 13-18 µm wide; aseptate.
