Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Cleistothecioid, orbicular, forming independently from the host thallus or mycelium, scattered or in loose groups, .075-.105 mm in diam.. Margin: External filaments present (shorter than the cleistothecial diam. or about as long as the diam.); recurved (when mature), .5-1 µm long, hyaline or pigmented (sometimes coloured at the base), few, 4-10-(13) per mm², growing between the lower and upper hald of the ascocarp, stiff and straight, smooth or rough, thin or moderatly thick (towards the base), ramified, dichotomously branched (3-5 times, loosely), septate.

Asci: 2-6 asci per ascocarp, not stipitate or indistinctly stipitate, 40-65 µm long, 30-45 µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate.

Ascospores: c. 4 to c. 8 per ascus, spores 4-7 per ascus, ellipsoid or ovoid, 16-22 µm long, 9-15 µm wide; septa absent.

Conidiomata: Present; hyphomycetous.

Conidiophores: Pseudoidium-type; not branched. Conidium Formation: Conidiogenous cells single. Conidia: More or less cylindrical; macroconidial, not branched, 28-38 µm long, 13-17 µm wide; aseptate.
