Biogeography: Continent: Southern America (Brazil, New Caledonia).

Ecology: Biotroph; phytopathogenic; growing on leaves, hypophyllous. Host or Phorophyte Taxonomy: Persea americana Mill.; Persea, Lauraceae.

Reproduction Strategy: Only known as sterile, asexually reproducing form.

Conidiomata: Present; hyphomycetous.

Conidiophores: Pseudoidium-type; not branched (cylindrical, hyaline, smooth, 0-2-septate, foot-cell followed by 0-2 shorter cells); conidiophore cells 45-75 µm long, basal cells 27.5-50 µm long, 6.5-10 µm wide. Conidium Formation: Conidiogenous cells single. Conidia: Ovoid, doliiform, or cylindrical; macroconidial (l/w ratio 1.5-3.2, smooth; a single germ tube per conidium, up to 1x the length of the conidium, lobed appressorium), not branched, 27.5-40 µm long, 10-20 µm wide; aseptate; cell wall hyaline; without distinct fibrosin body fibrosin bodies.
