Taxonomic Literature: Taxonomic notes: +hyphae ca 3-8 µm wide, septate, branched, hyaline; +appressoria lobed, usually multilobed;+conidiophores foot-cells straight, cylindric, followed by 1-2 cells, the subsequent cells are usually about as long as the foot-cells or longer, seldom shorter;. Braun U., Beih. Nova Hedwigia 89: 1-700 [615] (1987).

Biogeography: Continent: Southern America (Argentina).

Ecology: Biotroph; phytopathogenic; growing on leaves (effuse, thin, white), epiphyllous (usually) or amphigenous. Host or Phorophyte Taxonomy: Maytenus boaria Molina; Maytenus, Celastraceae.

Reproduction Strategy: Only known as sterile, asexually reproducing form.

Conidiomata: Present; hyphomycetous.

Conidiophores: Pseudoidium-type; not branched (erect, robust). Conidium Formation: Conidiogenous cells single. Conidia: More or less cylindrical (mostly long and slender); macroconidial, not branched, 28-50 µm long, 13-18 µm wide; aseptate.
