Ecology: Biotroph; phytopathogenic; growing on leaves or inflorescences, amphigenous. Host or Phorophyte Taxonomy: Mallotus sp.; Mallotus, Euphorbiaceae.

Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Cleistothecioid, orbicular, forming independently from the host thallus or mycelium, scattered or in loose groups, .075-.1 mm in diam.. Margin: External filaments present (about as long as the cleistothecial diam. or somewhat exceeding); mycelioid, straight, 1 µm long, 2.5-7.5 µm in diameter, hyaline (rarely; 2:brown) or pigmented, few, 3-5 per mm², thin, not ramified, aseptate or septate (0-2-septate).

Asci: 1 asci per ascocarp, not stipitate, 60-90 µm long, 45-70-(75) µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, spores 6-8 per ascus, subglobose, ellipsoid, or ovoid, 15-22.5 µm long, 10-17.5 µm wide; septa absent.
