Reproduction Strategy: With sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Cleistothecioid (atro-brunnea), orbicular (globosa vel spheroidea), scattered or gregarious, .13-.18 mm in diam.. Margin: External filaments present; helicoid, 70-175 µm long, 8-12 µm in diameter, hyaline, numerous, 50-80 per mm², growing on the upper half of the ascocarp (coronatae), not ramified or ramified (prope basim), dichotomously branched (1/3 vel inferiore 1-2(-3) dichotome ramulosae), aseptate.

Asci: 10-15 asci per ascocarp, globose, distinctly stipitate, 62-83 µm long, 35-44 µm wide; dehiscence unitunicate.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, spores 6-8-8 per ascus, ellipsoid, 12.5-26 µm long, 10-14 µm wide; septa absent.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed.
