Reproduction Strategy: Only known as sterile, asexually reproducing form or with sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Apothecioid, orbicular, soon sessile to stipitate. Margin: Indistinct to prominent; external filaments absent or present. Exciple: Green, brown, red, olive, or brownish yellow. Epithecium: Apical cells green, brown, red, olive, or brownish yellow. Interascal Hyphae: Present, distinctly branched, distinctly anastomosed. Hypothecium: Green, brown, red, white, olive, or brownish yellow.

Asci: Tholus not thickened or thickened, not amyloid; ocular chamber indistinct or broad; dehiscence unitunicate.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, broadly ellipsoid, ellipsoid, fusiform, oblong-obtuse, or oblong, 3.5-14 µm long, 1.5-5.5 µm wide, obtuse or aciculate; septa absent or present; transversally septate, (0)-1-1-transversally septate; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, not constricted where the septum meets the spore wall, dark brown, middle brown, or pale brown, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented or ornamented.

Conidiomata: Present or absent resp. not observed; pycnidial or hyphomycetous; sessile to stipitate.

Conidiogeneous Cells: Apical. Conidia: Globose or bacilliform.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected.
