Thallus: Indistinct or crustose, granular (verruculose). Thallus Outline: Persistent (thin, whitish). Upper Surface: Greyish green; not pseudocyphellate; eciliate; without hairs; not isidate; sorediate (stalked, starting as pinkish, cartilaginous warts of c. 0.3 mm diam. and up to 0.3 mm high, soon forming simple or 1-2 times branched, spathuliform branches); not cephalodiate; not lobulate; without granules granules, without thalloconidia thalloconidia. Lower Surface: Attached by the whole lower surface; special structures absent.

Reproduction Strategy: Only known as sterile, asexually reproducing form or with sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Apothecioid, orbicular, forming all across the thallus surface. Margin: Distinct; external filaments absent. Exciple: White. Interascal Hyphae: Scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: White.

Asci: Tholus thickened, amyloid, with non-amyloid narrow axial body and amyloid convergent flanks towards apex; dehiscence lecanoralean.

Ascospores: Curved or fusiform, 25-27 µm long, 6-9 µm wide, obtuse or aciculate (upper end rounded, lower end pointed); septa absent or present; transversally septate, 0-3-transversally septate, formed by the proper spore wall; wall thin, not constricted where the septum meets the spore wall, hyaline, not ornamented.

Secondary Metabolites: Present, of the following substance class(es): ß-orcinol depsides.
