Reproduction Strategy: Only known as sterile, asexually reproducing form or with sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Apothecioid, orbicular, forming all across the thallus surface, not emerging, becoming adnate to soon sessile. Margin: Indistinct to prominent; external filaments absent. Exciple: Black, green, or white. Periphyses: Absent. Epithecium: Apical cells black, brown, or green. Hymenium: Iodine reaction: Lugol’s negative or Lugol’s positive, not hemiamyloid. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: Grey or white.

Asci: Tholus thickened, amyloid, entirely amyloid throughout; dehiscence lecanoralean.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, ellipsoid, (10.5)-14-16.5-17-(20.5) µm long, (7)-7.5-9-10-(12.5) µm wide, obtuse; septa absent; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present; pycnidial; immersed, formed all accross the thallus surface.

Conidia: Bacilliform.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected.
