Reproduction Strategy: Only known as sterile, asexually reproducing form or with sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Apothecioid, orbicular, forming all across the thallus surface, soon sessile to stipitate. Margin: Prominent; external filaments absent. Exciple: White. Periphyses: Absent. Epithecium: Apical cells brown, hyaline, or brownish yellow. Hymenium: Iodine reaction: Lugol’s positive. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: Brownish yellow.

Asci: Tholus thickened, amyloid, with amyloid tube; ocular chamber indistinct; dehiscence lecanoralean; exoascus euamyloid.

Ascospores: c. 4 to c. 8 per ascus, broadly ellipsoid, ellipsoid, fusiform, or ovoid, 15-60 µm long, 5-20 µm wide, obtuse or aciculate; septa present; transversally septate or both transversally and longitudinally, 3-9-(10)-transversally septate; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present; pycnidial; immersed, formed all accross the thallus surface or along the thallus periphery.

Conidia: Bacilliform.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected.
