Margin: External filaments absent. Exciple: Brown or violet. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched to distinctly branched, distinctly anastomosed. Hypothecium: Brown or violet.

Asci: Dehiscence unitunicate.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, globose or ovoid, 6-13 µm long, 6-10 µm wide, obtuse; septa absent; wall thin or thick, distinctly differentiated into primary and secondary wall, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, pale brown, or dark brown, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected.
