Ascocarps: Apothecioid, orbicular, forming all across the thallus surface, not emerging, becoming adnate to soon sessile. Margin: Prominent; external filaments absent. Exciple: Brown or brownish yellow. Periphyses: Absent. Epithecium: Apical cells brown. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed.

Ascospores: c. 8 to more than 32 per ascus, filiform, oblong, or fusiform, 9-85 µm long, 2-7 µm wide, obtuse or aciculate; septa present; transversally septate, 1-15-transversally septate; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present; pycnidial; formed all accross the thallus surface.

Conidiogeneous Cells: Apical. Conidia: Globose or filiform.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected.
