Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, ovoid, 16-20 µm long, 6-9 µm wide, obtuse; septa present; both transversally and longitudinally, 3-(3 and more)-99-transversally septate, formed by the proper spore wall; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.
