Ecology: Biotroph; lichenized; epiphyllous.

Lichen Photobionts: Primary photobiont present; trentepohlioid. Secondary photobiont absent.

Thallus: Crustose, not subdivided parts, granular. Upper Surface: Grey or white; special structures absent. Lower Surface: Attached by the whole lower surface; special structures absent.

Reproduction Strategy: Only known as sterile, asexually reproducing form or with sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Perithecioid, orbicular or irregular, forming all across the thallus surface, soon sessile. Margin: Prominent; external filaments absent. Exciple: Brown or brownish yellow. Periphyses: Present. Interascal Hyphae: Absent.

Asci: Tholus not thickened; dehiscence verrucarial.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, allantoid or fusiform, 48-55 µm long, 6.5-8 µm wide, obtuse; septa present; transversally septate, 11-15-transversally septate; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected.
