Ascocarps: Apothecioid, orbicular, forming all across the thallus surface, soon sessile. Wall: Not carbonized. Margin: Indistinct. Exciple: White. Epithecium: Apical cells bluish green. Hymenium: Iodine reaction: hemiamyloid. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched to sparsely distinctly branched, sparsely distinctly anastomosed. Hypothecium: Reddish brown.

Asci: Tholus thickened, amyloid, with amyloid tube; dehiscence lecanoralean.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, ellipsoid or oblong-obtuse, (8)-10-14-(15) µm long, 3-4.5-(5) µm wide, obtuse or aciculate; septa absent; wall thin, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present; pycnidial.

Conidia: Bacilliform.

Secondary Metabolites: Present, of the following substance class(es): orcinol depsidones or (tri-)terpenoids.
