Ascocarps: Apothecioid, orbicular, forming all across the thallus surface, not emerging. Margin: Indistinct; external filaments absent. Periphyses: Absent. Epithecium: Apical cells brown. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: Brown or brownish yellow.

Asci: Dehiscence lecanoralean.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, ellipsoid or oblong, 16-26 µm long, 7.5-11 µm wide, obtuse; septa absent; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Present or absent resp. not observed.
