Margin: External filaments present. Exciple: Brown. Periphyses: Present. Hymenium: Iodine reaction: Lugol’s negative, not hemiamyloid. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: Brown.

Asci: Tholus not thickened or thickened, not amyloid; dehiscence unitunicate; exoascus not amyloid, not hemiamyloid.

Ascospores: 1–2 to c. 4 per ascus, ellipsoid or fusiform, 15-24 µm long, 5-9 µm wide, obtuse or aciculate; septa absent or present; transversally septate, 1-2-transversally septate; wall thick, distinctly differentiated into primary and secondary wall, not thickened at the septum, hyaline or pale brown, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented or ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected.
