Reproduction Strategy: Only known as sterile, asexually reproducing form or with sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Apothecioid, orbicular, forming all across the thallus surface, soon sessile. Margin: Indistinct to prominent; external filaments absent. Exciple: Brown. Periphyses: Absent. Epithecium: Apical cells brown. Hymenium: Iodine reaction: Lugol’s negative, not hemiamyloid. Interascal Hyphae: Present, distinctly branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: Brown.

Asci: Tholus thickened, not amyloid or amyloid, with amyloid cap or tube and flanks; dehiscence lecanoralean; exoascus euamyloid, hemiamyloid.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, ellipsoid, 8-16.5 µm long, 4-7 µm wide, obtuse; septa absent; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected or present, of the following substance class(es): orcinol depsides.
