Thallus: Indistinct or crustose, not subdivided parts, granular. Upper Surface: Grey or olive; special structures absent. Lower Surface: Attached by the whole lower surface; special structures absent.

Reproduction Strategy: Only known as sterile, asexually reproducing form or with sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Apothecioid, linear, forming all across the thallus surface, becoming adnate to soon sessile. Margin: Prominent; external filaments absent. Exciple: Black, brown, or brownish yellow. Interascal Hyphae: Present, distinctly branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: Black, brown, or brownish yellow.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, oblong-obtuse or ovoid, 15-40 µm long, 4.5-8 µm wide; septa present; transversally septate, 5-16-transversally septate; wall not thickened at the septum, dark brown, middle brown, grey, or hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present.
