Ascocarps: Apothecioid, orbicular, forming all across the thallus surface, soon sessile. Margin: Prominent; external filaments absent or present. Exciple: White. Periphyses: Absent. Epithecium: Apical cells hyaline or brownish yellow. Interascal Hyphae: Present, distinctly branched, distinctly anastomosed. Hypothecium: White, brownish yellow, or brown.

Asci: Dehiscence lecanoralean.

Ascospores: 1–2 per ascus, ellipsoid or oblong, 55-110 µm long, 14-24 µm wide, obtuse; septa present; both transversally and longitudinally; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present; campylidial; sessile, formed all accross the thallus surface.

Conidia: Globose; aseptate.

Secondary Metabolites: Present, of the following substance class(es): ß-orcinol depsidones, (tri-)terpenoids, and xanthones.
