Interascal Hyphae: Present, distinctly branched, not or scarcely anastomosed to distinctly anastomosed.

Asci: Tholus not thickened; dehiscence prototunicate.

Ascospores: Ellipsoid or fusiform, 10-90 µm long, 4-20 µm wide; septa absent or present; transversally septate, 1-7-transversally septate; wall not thickened at the septum, pale brown or dark brown, in Lugol's Solution negative.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected.
