Reproduction Strategy: Only known as sterile, asexually reproducing form or with sexual (and possible asexual) stages. Ascocarps: Apothecioid, orbicular or linear, forming all across the thallus surface, becoming adnate to soon sessile. Margin: Distinct; external filaments absent. Exciple: Brown. Periphyses: Absent. Epithecium: Apical cells brown, brownish yellow, or olive. Hymenium: Iodine reaction: Lugol’s positive, not hemiamyloid. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed. Hypothecium: White or brownish yellow.

Asci: Tholus thickened, amyloid, with amyloid cap or tube and flanks; dehiscence lecanoralean; exoascus euamyloid, hemiamyloid.

Ascospores: c. 8 per ascus, ellipsoid or oblong-obtuse, 9-16.5 µm long, 4-7.5 µm wide, obtuse; septa absent; wall thin, not thickened at the septum, hyaline, in Lugol's Solution negative, wall not ornamented.

Conidiomata: Absent resp. not observed or present; pycnidial; immersed, formed all accross the thallus surface.

Conidia: Curved.

Secondary Metabolites: Not detected or present, of the following substance class(es): ß-orcinol depsidones.
