Thallus Size and Differentiation: 2-4.5-7 cm in diameter; main branches basally not constricted; apex rounded or truncate. Upper Surface: Grey, convex, matt, smooth; not fissurate; not foveate; not convoluted; with patches; epruinose; not pseudocyphellate; not wrinkled; ciliate; cilia slender, marginal; not isidate; without isidiomorphs; not papillate, not pustulate; sorediate; soralia white, laminal, subapical or terminal, capitate, confluent, but not fusing, soredia coarse or farinose; not tuberculate; not lobulate. Lower Surface: Present, black, black in the centre, brown (at tips) along the margin; attached by holdfasts; not cyphellate; not wrinkled, wrinkles central, isolated; rhizinate; rhizines sparse, with a narrow non-rhizinate margin, black, not branched; not tuberculate.

Hydrochasic Thallus Movement: Not performing hygrochasic thallus movement.

Upper Cortex: Double-layered.

Reproduction Strategy: Only known as sterile, asexually reproducing form.

Conidiomata: Present.
