Wall: Not carbonized. Margin: Dark brown or brownish red, 10-15 µm wide; external filaments absent. Exciple: Paraplectenchymatous; hyphae 2.5-7 µm wide, not carbonized, dark brown or brownish red. Periphyses: Present. Hymenium: Iodine reaction: Lugol’s negative, not hemiamyloid. Interascal Hyphae: Present, scarcely branched, not or scarcely anastomosed; cells 1.5-5 µm wide. Hypothecium: Dark brown or brownish red.

Asci: Clavate, not stipitate or distinctly stipitate (shortly stipitate), 41-49 µm long, 12-16 µm wide; ocular chamber present; narrow; dehiscence bitunicate (fissitunicate); exoascus not amyloid.

Ascospores: Not uniseriate, c. 8 per ascus, spores 8 per ascus, oblong-obtuse, clavate (subclavate), or oblong, (13.5)-15-16.7-18-(19.5) µm long, (3.5)-4-4.7-5.5 µm wide, obtuse; septa present, transversally septate, 1-transversally septate; lumina of equal size or apically enlarged, constricted at the centre; wall thin, remaining hyaline, hyaline, not ornamented or ornamented.

Conidiomata: Present.

Conidia: Globose (globose to somewhat oblong); 2.5-3.5 µm long, .5-1 µm wide.
